SPIRITUAL TIMES IN THE DAY

SPIRITUAL TIMES IN THE DAY

KAIROS VS CRONOS

All the exercises of True Heart - Discerning a Diocesan Priestly Vocation, are designed to help you migrate from a focus on chronological time (linear time) and enter Kairos or God’s time.

Kairos is stepping into the stream of eternity on a daily basis—keeping you focused on your true home.

You will be amazed at how even the unstructured non-tech times help you to listen to the spiritual world and to your heart. It is in KAIROS time that you will find your heart and vocation.

Our enemy is the one who wants to keep us busy and distracted so we can't hear the voice of the Shepherd.

Defeat him by making your Kairos times intentional and frequent.

Lesson Summary

In the journey of discerning a Diocesan Priestly Vocation, it is important to transition from focusing on the linear time to embracing Kairos, which is God's time. This shift helps individuals stay connected to their true home and enables them to listen to the spiritual world and their hearts more effectively.

  • Kairos involves stepping into the stream of eternity daily.
  • It allows individuals to find their heart and vocation.
  • Unstructured non-tech times can be beneficial in aiding spiritual listening and self-reflection.

In the pursuit of Kairos, intentional and frequent engagement with this form of time is crucial. By prioritizing these moments and being mindful of them, individuals can combat distractions and busyness that may hinder them from hearing the voice of the Shepherd.
